8.8 rear swap question. help

have 85 s10 with stock rear. have an 8.8 out of 87 mustang gt. has anyone done this swap and whats involved? also what size rim and backspacing? thanks.

i havent done this but im guessing spring perches would need to be welded on and probly find some aftermarket wheels with the ford bolt pattern and hopfully its close to the correct width you would want hope this helps alittle read the other post on the topic of rear differential to give you some more of an idea of what to do

you could do the ford racing 5 lug conversion too.. .it\'s the same bolt pattern as the s-10 one anyway, backspacing no idea, you\'d have to measure the diff to see how wide it is
