View Full Version : Tank Question??
I have a 89 s15 the tank in on the side. I have also a 98 blazer the tank is in the back between the frame. Can I and would it be better If i put a 98 tank, and took out the spare tire in the 89 and put the tank there? I would think that it would help with weight by adding it to the rear, also better traction, also level the truck off better with the V8 in it. Will it fit?

Interesting thought, I\'ve been looking at the same thing. The exhaust would be easier to rum with the stock Sdime tank moved. I was looking at installing a fuel cell, but a stock tank should be easier and the frame is basically the same . I\'ll have to look into that.
I think it would really help out with traction, and with braking. my short bed with a v8. Will it hold more fuel?

The tank is an easy install. I used the blazer crossmembers, pick-up shock mounts and had to lower the tank 3\" so the bed would mount correctly. I put the filler neck in the floor of the bed and made a removable floor pan for fuel pump replacement. It turned out nice. I have a couple of pics in my gallery of the install. As for the exhaust, it turned out nice.
I have pics of that also, just waiting to post them.
