For you guys that run consecutively anywhere in the 13 second range in the quarter, what kind of horsepower and torque are you making, and with what gears and how tall of tires?

I\'m pretty sure i can get in the 13\'s, i only ran my truck once and that was my first time there and i ran a 14.2. That was on 175/75R14 tires also, so it didn\'t hook up the best and i shifted at 4,000RPM into drive when i should of held it to about 6200RPM. But anyways my motor is estimated at around 380HP and over 400ft pounds of torque. Thats with a stock 700R4 and stock converter, and 3.42 limited slip and the little tires, roughly 27 inches tall.

about the same as bohn333 for hp right now but i have 245/50r16\'s 26\" tall and 10 inches wide with 4.11 gears and a 700r4, i left it in overdrive and ran a 13.88, shifting manualy i only ran a 14.32. 700r4\'s are not meant to be shifted manualy and they hesitate to shift when you shift manualy which slows you down, it will also ruin the tranny faster too, so set the kickdown so it shifts where you want and forget about it, i had to have my tranny modified so it would shift at 6800 stock 700r4\'s won\'t shift that high they will automatically shift around 5500 becasue of too much line pressure, if you want it to shift higher install a b&m transkit, it allows it to shift at higher rpms than stock, and barks thetires into third http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

You don\'t necessarily want to hold a shift because it can slow you down alot depending on cam specs etc.

just my 2 cents
