If the choke is working you should just pump it 2 or 3 times...and it should start and run normal

i got the choked wired open its hot in ohio right now. When i drove the truck with the choke not hooked up it ran good until i got about 40mph. Then it started missing so i wired it open and it run fine its just hard to start i got to floor it for a couple second to get it to start.

Sounds like it is percolating. Bleeding off fuel after it is shut off. Can be caused by heat. Having to open throttle blades is giving it more air allowing it to fire.

no it wont hurt anything, its just bleeding fuel out of the bowls and not allowing you to start the truck easy. its more of a pain in your ass than anything.
