Dumb question - readend setup

I have a plain old 7.5in 3:42 open diff. Can I remove install the center section (removing the caps & center section only) without having to set the tolerances again, when I reinstall it? I\'m talking about the center only and not the pinion part.

When removing the parts mark the side caps and shims. Then be sure to reinstall them back in the same locations, if you do that you should not have any problems.
