Well i went over to the local track today.. Its an old airstrip with a staging light, and radar guns at the trap...no E/T\'s or r/t or 60ft or anything available. I raced a 440 duster and he pretty much destroyed me. Then i raced a porsche 944 turbo about 4 times...used a 100 shot everytime and killed him everytime. They said my fastest was 96mph through the trap which i wasn\'t very impressed with. What sucks is the 440 duster that beat me ran slower then 96 when i ran him so i might\'ve beat him if i raced him later in the day. I just don\'t have enough motor i don\'t think. anyway it was all in good fun though. I guess i expected faster but oh well.

No matter how Fast it really was I\'m sure the fun factor blew the top off the meter!



Thats good you got some runs in. Even though you don\'t have all the \"pro-track\" system stuff, at least you have a place to run. In my area, thier isn\'t any place to run. Unfortunatley, the drivers make thier own places but thier is that danger of hurting innocent people. Your old airport sounds much safer.

Nice! I was thinking like Space better there than nothing at all. And was thinking that if this IS the only place nearby where you can run, maybe you could invest in a \"dashboard dyno\". Others guys here have said good things about them, fairly accurated ETs, etc.
