i just got a set of ground force drop spindals for x-mas for my 92 s-10 and i was reading the instrustions and it said that \"the lower control arm may come in contact with the wheel if the wheels which have more then 3 1/2\'\' of backspacing are used\" so does that mean when i get my 18x8.5\'\' rims with 4.5\'\' of backspacing will hit the control arms???? please help before i install them!!!! thanks Joe

my 16x8\'s rub a little bit and i beleive they have 4 inch backspacing but they rub on the tie rod end under hard cornering... if you had 8.5 18\'swith 4 inch backspacing i think you shouldn\';t have any problem because the diameter of the rim will clear the tie rod end.. the 4.5\'s might even work... i wouldn;t go with a 8.5 rim though... i\'d maybe even go to a 7.5

i just put ground force spindles on my 97 and theres not even a chance for them to rub, my 86 has 3\'\' drop spindles and i had some 16\'\' IROC wheels on it and the tie rod ends where close to hitting, but with 18\'\' rims the rim is big enough that i don\'t think anything would be in the way.

They have a chance of rubbing on a 15 or 16 inch wheel but probably not on a 18
