someone i know can find me a buick or olds sb V8 (not big on what engines came in what so don\'t ask).
al i need answered is if either of the two (buick/olds) if the are and i denticle block as a chevy block, and if there would be any swap issues?
(i know it come with the tranny and everything..)

no they are no where near similar to a chevy block.1. starter is on opposite side of chevy. and that runs into clearance issues on the frame and cross member. Dont get me wrong it can be done but alot more modification is needed to make it fit right in the S-trucks.

yeah they are just more of a pain than they are worth in horsepower....some of them do make some good horsepower though

Olds 455 is about the same size as a SBC, and they can make tons of torque. Probably more trouble than they are worth sometimes though.
