Every disributor question focuses on the thick pink wire being the hot wire for the distributor, so am I to assume the white wire goes to the (-) pole on the coil? I\'m going with a Mallory Unilite with an Accel Super Stock coil. Also, where is a good place to mount the coil and it look decent? Space is very limited

is the unilite a mech advance dis? if so you need an ignition box and wire it up with the directions. if it is an HEI style dis then red is power and white is tach.

oh and coil placement??? the accel super stock is a big monster. all you can do is play with it and see where you like it.

It\'s a Unilite vacuum advance electronic distributor and the Accel Super Stock Coil looks like a standard coil on the older SB Chevy\'s

well then the fire wall for the coil. they make a bracket for that. i got it mixed up with the big monster coil accel has. as far as the distributor? i have never seen one like that. all i have ever messed with is the HEI and mech. adv. distributors?

Thanks to both of you. I have the wiring diagram from the distributor. The stock wiring has a pink and a white wire that plugs into the stock 2.6 coil the then the stock 2.6 disributor has a smaller pink and black wire that plugs into the stock coil. All I am tryin to find out is if the white wire goes to the (-) pole on the new coil. I assume it does, but I want to make sure. I don\'t want to burn up a brand new distributor and coil. Thanks again

oh the white wire on they factory wireing. that is for the tach. or shift indicator. you know arrow up arrow down if you dont need it dont use it. your distributor has all the wireing needed for the new coil.
