I removed the trans from my truck to install a converter,the one I ordered is a 2500 stall.Everyone I talk to saye to go bigger,is this true?

It really depends on your trucks setup and what you want to do with it.

Is the truck built for the street.. the strip or both? http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif for the street i would say 22-2500, for the strip.. 3000+ depending on the motor and trans.

It has a 480 Lunati bracket master cam

A edelbrock 4barrel and intake.I drive it on the street.

donl;t go any bigger than 2500... remember the factory ca\'t desighn it so it\'s exactly 2500 rpm... that stall behind some engines could be as high as a 3000 and as low as 2000 it all depends on the engine... but by the sounds of it your engine doesn\'t make a lot of power untill higher rpm so it should be at least 2500 the converter cuts in when there\'s so many lb ft of torque to it... and with a big cam you don\' make a lot of torque down low so it should stall higher
