window track

ok so the window on the driver\'s side keeps well seems to bind up on the front track and get pulled out of the back track and then falls out of the track. what can i do to fix this problem with out taking out the track and replacing it.

I was having a bunch of problems with mine, too, and the first thing I\'d try is lubricating the track with some gel lube or something like that. That alone fixed all my problems.

My driver side window rattles like crazy. What would that be? Anyone know?

Maybe the felt window swipers are worn out?

Are they easy to replace? If so, are the avail at any parts store?

i also had that same problem. i just replaced the two black window clips on the window and that solved the problem for me. also reedz, the best and cheapest place to get those belt strips would be jc whitney. part #81ut6075y $39.96 that is out of an older catalogue, you might wanta double that price.

Same problem, same solution. Replace the plastic window glides on the window. You can get them at the Chevy dealer cheap.

When I was struggling with mine, I replaced the guides and it didn\'t make a huge difference until I lubed the tracks. Do both - can\'t hurt, really, and the guides are super cheap

My problem is just the rattling,

So if i go to the Chevy Dealer, what specifically am i asking for? Window track guides? Felt window swipers? Or are these two the same thing?

Just an FYI

I called the Chevy Dealer and they told me that from 82-90 there wasn\'t any felt guides, but instead there are plastic clips.

Before i go and buy them, or rip my door panels off, can someone else confirm this?

What did you lube the tracks with?
