On my 2000 S10 I have moved my radiator and AC condenser forward into the radiator support in order to mount a Taurus fan. I am using stock 4.3 accessory mounts. I need more clearance and want to use a short water pump with a serpentine pully. Is there a short reverse rotation water pump that will work?

I don't know. I would suggest going to see your local Napa Auto parts guy. Those guys usually know ther stuff.
Space.

dude, just get the one for a 4.3 from your year truck....its shorter than the short water pump for the 5.7 block!

I don't know what pump jusbo is talking about but in one of my first attempts to cool my 87 with a V8 I used a standard aluminum C4 Corvette water pump and pulley, I was using 89 4.3 accessory brackets and electric Flex-a-lite dual 12" fans on a heavy duty 4.3 radiator but it was only moved forwad as far as I could get it without cutting the hell out of the radiator support... If you use this pump you will also more than likely need spacers between the pump and the block to get the belt to line up, I made my own 3/8" spacers but 1/2" with an o ring seal on one side should also work... This pump is only about $40 at parts stores and I found the serpentine L98 Corvette pulley on eBay, this pulley and pump use a 3/4" pilot in the center so you can't mistake them... In using this pump I also had to cut and modify the lower portion of the right accessory bracket to clear the lower hose where it connects to the pump... Since then I have changed to the Corvette radiator (the one sold here 83 to 89) but I'm still using the pump...

The mod's done to the right bracket looked like this...

Here is one when I was changing to the Corvette radiator, Flex-a-lite 18" wide blade and my fabricated aluminum fan shroud...

Thanks for the "Great" info and pictures of a really nice install. I'm doing just about thatexcept for using a Taurus fan. My son plasma cut the radiator support to move the air cond condenser and radiator into the support. I purchased a 84-91 Corvette reverse-flow water pump, and we're having the pulley modified at a local machine shop to fit the pump and a spacer made to align the belt. Your pictures will definetly help when we get to modifying the bracket. Thanks again.

Hey Chad,
Thanks for the nice comment, glad to help, I just don't know how it will work in a 2000... The accessory bracket I modified for use with that reverse rotation pump is from earlier 4.3's that had an air pump mount on the bottom, I think the later year brackets are a bit differently made structurally and I don't know if it would be a good idea to modify them the same way, I've got a bracket from a 95 4.3 that I think would be similar to a 2000, it has no air pump mount, it only comes down to a point strait down to a single bolt at the bottom... Is yours like that? The bracket I used has two bolts at the bottom... I also think you will need the Corvette pulley because it's not as deep an offset as a pulley from a long pump...

The accessory brackets bolted up without any clearance problems. The pulley was modified by welding in a 1/4 inch spacer in the back side and new bolt holes drilled for the vette water pump. The belt fits perfect except for riding more forward on the pulley, and looks stock. It's still a close fit between the pulley and the fan motor. The engine is as far back as we can get it. The pass. side header (Patriots) is rite on the heat shield, but we have a plan to get that clearance without having to dismantle everything. My son shortened the drive shaft 2 inches for the setback.
