1984 s-10 AC housing removal

I have a 84 s-10 with factory air. Since the swap, the ac is not hooked up. I want to remove the factory equipment, ac compressor is already gone, like the housing against the firewall. Do I just get a housing for a non ac truck? I still want the blower for the heat to work.

yes take all the screws out around the box, get a non ac cover and blower motor. when i changed mine i had to change my motor, the non ac box i got was from a 91, i also have a 84 so i had to use the 91 blower motor. all bolt holes line up and no holes in firewall are exposed. everything worked properly. just make sure u still have the power wire that goes directly to the blower, all other wires that were ther i cut off, they were for the compressor. good luck
