I just bought a 89 S-10 with once a 350 in it already, i bought it with corvette wheels and heddman headers pro rachet B&M shifter for 500$ it wasnt a bad deal, also the body is in great shape. I was just wandering and wanted to tip and suggestions, My main focus is to racing, all at the strip but i still want to keep it street legal, I have a Stroke engine lined up, but as for the tranny and rear end gears etc, i have no idea, please any suggestions or tips I would greatly appreciate it. THANKS TO ALL HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

stroked motor you say small block /big block youll have many different opinions on trannys id say th400 but th350 is good as well the only reason i say these as they are easiest for parts and builds

TH350 with a shift kit and 3.73 posi rear, should make a good daily driver that can run decent times at the track.

The other thing to think on is what track, 1/8 or 1/4 mile? The gearing to maxamize the effort at the track. The other thought is what is the max speed you would drive off the track? What is reasonable RPM for the drive around town? Are you planning to ever drive on the freeway, 70mph??? These are all factors in desiding the drive train. Give us some idea of what the your idea is. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif
