Guy, you would not believe how well this is all coming together. I work on the R/V Persistence as a Party Chief. I am a geophysical surveyor by trade. This job was offered to me about 1 year and 4 months ago. Never in my dreams of doing such a great deed. I was selected to go to Aruba to help search for the possible remains of Natalee Holloway. The press has been all over this like a wildfire. I wanted to share a blog to all that would be interested in following in our footsteps. The blog is being done by a good friend that was also selected to on the project. This is the link to the blog, and GOD be with US!! (http://nholloway.blogspot.com/)

Now how cool is that?http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif Nice.
And good luck with your mission. Talk about your needle in the haystack. But I guess there are some "areas of interest" you'll be directed to?

So you or they think she is in a crab trap? Interesting. Is this a new theory or did new information come out? That side scanning sonar is pretty incredible. Just the new small fishfinder side scan we use to chase catfish is incredible. The state uses our boats a lot when looking for drowning victims in local lakes because the side scan can find them a lot better. I can tell by the picture of the shipwreck that your side scan is quite a bit nicer http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif When you are done with it, send it my way. I could clean the lake out in a week with that thing. Good luck on your search.

Hey Grim, thanks. The infomation we have received from the investigation leads to the crab trap option. The time eliment and the best way to get rid of the body, in the deep water. The seach will happen, just the details and the results is up to the LORD. If he wants us to find her, we will. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

The blog was removed at the request of the boat owner and the client. The content will be gone through and eventually be re-posted. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

I can sort of understand that. It's a very personal thing for the family.
I'd really suck if they weren't "the first to know" if anything developed.

The boat owner didn't like the idea of the frenzy of the press. He wanted things to stay quiet till we found her, then open the can of worms. He known the slightest mistake can be very bad when the press gets involved.
