any one currently racing a big block s10? Is it possible to use a stock suspension set up? I did find one on u-tube that looks really fast and would like to build something similar. What do you guys think?

mid 11's
I am using belltech leaves, DJM 3" steel blocks, and Lakewood S-10 slapper bars with 315/60 BFG drag radials on 8" wide draglites. Up front I have QA1 single adjustable coilovers, Global West tubular uppers and lowers, 2" drop spindles, no swaybar, and 26 x 6 M/T street radials on 4" wide draglites.
The engine is very cheap and simple.

11's aint that bad if you say its a cheap and mild motor. What do u have for a trans and rear end? How good do you hook up? Thanks

Here's my thoughts regarding S10s & BBCs: Unless you plan on building something that's going to run in the 10's and faster, you're probably better off with a SBC. That is, 500 HP & up on motor only, the BBC starts to come into the zone.
.............. Of course there are some good reasons to run a BBC in any S10, first that comes to mind is if you've got a nice, hi-perf BBC sitting on your engine stand. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

around here mid 10's is merely OK for a streetcar. There are a number of guys running high 9's on motor alone and 8's on spray that drive anywhere. Hell one of them is still sporting lap belts in his '67 Camaro. I just don't have the bank account to keep up.
