brake booster

I bought mty truck partially finished and now Im thinking of putting on a set of heads I cant see how the driverside head will come off without removing the brake booster. just by "eyeballing it" doesnt look possible. anyone else have this prob? can I put manual brakes on? just pitch the booster or what? this sucks! any tips would be great

Mine clears, but every install is a little differant. do not just toss the booster as the pedal ratio is differant for manual and power. on most vehicles, the master and wheel cyclinders, as well as calipers are differant manual to power. this can be easily checked by running your truck thru Advance auto parts (or autozone) website and look up both manual and power brakes. then see if part numbers are the same manual to power. EASY. if you are still concerned about clearance, there are smaller afermarket boosters out there. try the streetrod publications. hope this helps out. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif
