I'm close to hooking up my 94 LT1 in my 86 S truck. How have you guys been hooking up and clamping the higher pressure fuel lines from the stock (2.8) metal lines to the motor? What fuel line do you use, don't think regular fuel hose is safe with the higher pressures.

Everything on my truck is stock, including a new 94 LT1 fuel pump. I'm going for a clean and stock looking setup. Want the fuel lines to be bullet proof so I would feel comfortable letting the wife drive it without problems.

Thanks in advance,

Dan, the stock hard lines are different sizes. The largest one is the pressure line. the two others are the charcoal canister vent and the fuel return. The hose will need to be a working pressure no less than 100 lbs. The writing on the hose needs to be there, if not can't trust it. The auto parts stores sell a high pressure hose for EFI. If you upgraded the in tank fuel pump, don't forget to change the soft lines near the tank. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

there are companies like TPIS that have a retro fit fitting for the fuel lines. but you will need to use a larger diameter line from the tank to the fuel rail inlet. even the return needs to be a bit bigger. to small of a line will cause to high of a pressure at the regulator and you wont be able to bring it down. if you want it strong and safe i suggest running the flexable aluminum hard line that you can get from summit or jegs and use all AN fittings. will be a little expensive. but will work better then stock and not have any over pressure issues.
