ok now that i have that out of my system, i just bought a 92 GMC Sonoma with a blown 4 cyl and a 5 speed. I also picked up a '72 350 4 bolt and a TH 350. Id really like to keep the manual but will the stock T5 hold up? The engine is basically stock atm.



If the TH 350 is the way to go, will the stock shaft fit? Its a standard cab 6ft bed.

trans will not work go with the th359 shaft should fit

if the TH-350 has the 9 inch tail shaft then yes your drive shaft will work if you have the 6 inch tail shaft then no it will not fit.

is it as simple as having the stock shaft lengthened 3 inches?

can't really make it longer. i use late model caprice. good luck.
