Around 300 HP. A 650 carb will make the same power and have better throttle response.

Yeah id guess around 300hp or maybe just over. The heads would be fine for a little more power, the cam is a little conservative on the lift. You could always add 1.6 ratio rockers to get a bit more out of them. What size vales are on the double humpers?

Short answer, yes. But take the time to look at the top end kits that Edelbrock and others offer to see what they do to get 400+ Hp. Or check out countless crate motors available. That'll give you a good idea of what you need to do to your stuff to make that kind of power.

you definately need more cam, here is an easy 400+ hp set up

my fully ported bowtie heads 650.00

comp cams 250/260 at .050 532/555 110

edel. victor jr(the performer will not make it!)

vortec heads can get this power too if you add

larger valves, have the guides cut for bigger lift, bigger springs,screw-in studs and plates, then regular machine work you will then have nearly 900.00 in a set of heads that will NEVER OUT FLOW a bowtie head! just remember heads and cam are the heart of any engine, just like your relationship if it does not have good head it will not work to its potential!
