700r4 govener vette

Ok I put in a vette servo and a vette govener in my 700r4. I have a 69 sbc 350 with 89 305 tbi heads on it, also a 600 holly. I have to put the trans back in yet. What do you think bad Idea or what? with the govener? If the rpms are to high can I just adjust the shift point tc cable?

I wouldnt touch the cable. It has to be almost exactly right or the trans will kill itself.



i think it will be fine. besides, I think the governor justs keeps you from downshifting at high rpms. I could be wrong on that though
