With the previous posts on "my engine is a 327 (http://www.s10v8.com/viewtopic.php?topic=1073756641&forum=4) " I found this link :
the 350 chevy should have built (http://purplesagetradingpost.com/sumner/techinfo/350%20chevy%20engine.html)
I believe someone here had posted this before, but I couldn't find the link.
Figured it just might be worth a mention.

ya know. i just read that article, the motor they are talking about is built w/ rods that are 6.2 long not many people use that anymore. when i had my 355 in my truck i was telling so many peolle i had that rod length and they were telling me u gotat be wrong and now there it is in an article. my engine was built an old school way a long time ago and that what i had. and still have it to just forsale.
alot of people dont use long rods anymore because of with the advancements of everything else in a motor the cylinder pressures are getting higher and higher. Long rod means skinny piston. Skinny piston means skinny ring stack. Skinny ring stack means all your rings coming out the drain plug when you push it to the floor. Being a nitrous lover, i dont pay any attention to rod length. You have your crank, find a piston you like and whatever connects them is your rod length.
