what do you need help on smallblock283? Didn't the gauges come with the little 12v lightbulb in the back?

LED's are far superior. What you could do is go to "the shack" look through the drawers and get some LED's that are ready to go.
Some things to think about, why change the 12v bulbs out? They will do just fine and last a long time, plus the replacement bulbs are a dime a dozen.
But as far as ideas, just ask yourself what you would like to see, the sky is the limit and it can probably be do-able when it comes to electronics. If you have any more q's just let us know!

Auto meter sells led bulbs for their gages that plug right in the back, you can find them through summit and jegs. They're kind of pricy though. I've had my gages for 2 years and haven't run into a problem and their plenty bright for me.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Normally, the std. lamps are TOO bright. And yeah, std, lamps last for years.
.......... As I see it, the advantage of LEDs is that they can withstand sharp whacks unlike incandescent lamps, and LED are far superior in energy savings. (lumens per watt) And neither of these advantages would apply to gauge lighting. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

Dash When I bought truck (http://www.s10v8.com/myegallery.php?&do=showpic&pid=4298&orderby=)
New dash I made (http://www.s10v8.com/myegallery.php?&do=showpic&pid=4297&orderby=)
I don't see any advantage of switching to LED lights for the gauges. I haven't had one burn out, and if it did, a new one is about a buck at the parts store.
