i have a short bed reg cab, .060 over 350, 700r4, 272/282 adv. duration cam, summit dual plane intake, hei distributor. i have a used 600 edelbrock on it that i rebuilt. it starts and idles great, the secondaries are great, but the primaries are lean to the point of dying on accel if you don't ease into it slow. accel pump works ok. i bought a calibration kit. does anyone have recommendations on what rods, jets, and step up springs to start with? i'm sure alot of you have pretty close to the same combo.

The Edelbrock works simalir to an quadrajet. The primaries have springs in different vacuum ratings for timing the second stage of the primary needle. The cal chart is available at Edelbock's website in operators manuals. The PDF will have a listing of all carbs available. The chart will show a chart for rich to lean and cruise and power. The cruise mode is the first stage of the needle, idle to light throttle. The power mode is part throttle to wot. The chart will show a circle on the graph with numbers. The numbers are broke down to jets and needle sizes to get that calibration. The only thing I can tell you is stay close to the cruise mode you have and richen the power mode.
