no codes

hey everyone having probs with getting codes for computer.. when i plug in the scanner it turns the fans on.. the light works comes on when start and off a couple secs later but nothing when scanners plugged in nor a jumper same thing fans come on any ideas would be great

I too am having code problems. Stuffed a 94 LT1 into my 86 S15 (GMC flavor of S10). Have my check engine light on, but cannot pull any codes. My fans do not come on, but I am having some minor fan problems (Most always running). that are controlled to original PCM (computer). I have a cheapohttp://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif scanner from NAPA, really does nothing more than a paper clip across the terminals, "A" & "B" I think.



I'm not too worried yet, I do know most of the engine problems that need fixin', Like the gas pedal, every time I touch it the tires start smoking http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/burnout.gifhttp://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif

your not running to hot are you. i have an 94 lt1 in my camaro now trying to fix the bugs before it goes in another s10. i had the fans running all the time but i put in a 160 stat and put on an electric motor for water pump. fans never come on now

me too,I put a 94 lt-1 in a 99 S10 had a custom plug and go harness built with a OBD-1 port in it,have a pretty good scanner and can not read any code what so ever from the engine so all of my problems are pretty much trying to guess the the right fix

hey jmayhew where in maine are u from.. i use to live in the bangor, brewer area before i moved to tn. i also have a 99 sonoma that i bought from maine and stripped it in tn with a 383. just for drag racing though. trying to find anouther s10 for the street
