removable steering wheel

is any one using a removable wheel in their s10. where did you get your hardware and how does it look ?

i bought all the stuff from a local circle track shop. even the steering wheel. Its all aluminum, looks funny but light as a feather.

I have one on my roundy-round car. I got it from www.speedwaymotors.com (http://www.speedwaymotors.com/)

There are no provisions for a horn if your intended use is for a street truck.

I thought about going that route until I saw the guy on pinks all out. His steering wheel came off when he launched. That would be my luck right there.



If ya want to go that route find the roundy round guys. They all use it.

i say if your looking for room cause you have a rollbar/cage and you cant fit thru, like i noticed now that i have my roll bar in get a tilt column like i did. now i just hafta put it in!!

i have a sfi quick release hub in my truck, but have a custom fabbed column, if you dont want to go through that much trouble,

jeg's offers one that can be used with the factory gm column, the quick release is splined to fit the factory spline on the shaft
