The fitting on the trans is an inverted flare. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

What melonhead said is true. But most trans' have inverted flare adapters, which can be unscrewed from the trans. So if you get a 6AN to a 1/4" (I think it's 1/4") Male pipe thread adapter, you should be good to go.
BTW, that's what I did. I used short 18" (+/-) pre-made lines, then switching to aluminum tubing to the radiator. So, when changing the trans out, I can first fasten the short flex lines before installing the trans. What a pain in the 'nads it is to try to get those lines tightened to the trans when the trans is in place.

Ditto what Scotty said, especially that last part, I actually went out and bought more line wrenches, heated up the one I needed and bent it specially for the task of tightening the lines, what fun they are to get at, having the fenders, fender wells and exhaust off helps a little, I have original steel lines to the front then high pressure hose to my cooler in front of my rad support ... http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_frown.gif Mines a 700R4 though not 350 turbo, same problem with the lines, I think next time I'll have the lines on the engine and transmission assembly before I drop it in the truck...
