If your temp is under control at higher speeds and the poblems starts when you slow down, then yes. The fan is not large enough or pulling enough air through the radiator. The idea of not having a trans cooler making the engine hot is not true. The good will come with a longer life to the trans with a cooler. The thing you can do is install a engine oil cooler. Have one large enough to make a difference. Also install a thermostat on the oil cooler lines to allow bypass untill the oil gets to temperature. I have read many with borderline cooling problems fix or control the problem by adding an engine oil cooler. maybe less of a hassle than changing over to a clucth fan. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

If you have room- maybe install a 10 or 12 inch puller fan that you can use a switch on.

I got a fan 2.5 fan spacer to get my fan right up to the raidaitor. Where can i get a electric fan that mounts and fits good to the corvette raidaitor. Im getting one when i get my refund check.

If you have a 2.5 spacer and a fan, man you have some room. You should have room for 2 fans. I think a 14 and 12 will fit the radiator. The thing to try to see what will fit is cut cardboard in the 14 and 12 circles. See how they fit. Maybe only 2 12s will fit. Spal and the knock offs from White Performance on Ebay are good for that. The other thing to work on is a wiring kit. Spal has a great two fan controller. It works one fan from 50 to 100% as temp raises. The second fan comes in when the first reaches 100%. The controller is programable to the temp you want.
