tbi won't start

I've got a 305 tbi that runs if I dump fuel in the throttle body... but it won't start. I can hear the pump running in the tank and the noid lights up like the injectors should work.



anyone run into this before? car sat for a couple years. thanks

What is your fuel pressure??

i had one do this yesterday. i took two jumper wires from the battery to the two posts on the injectors. it unstuck them. and ran fine.

First check fuel pressure, should be between 9-13 psi, and if not and like u said u can hear the pump. What most likely happen the 1 or so inch rubber hose the goes between the fuel pump and sending unit in the tank dry out and cracked and just sending the the fuel back into the tank. Oh make sure u got good gas in the tank.



I forgot to mention check the fuel filter could be clogged.

turns out the pump runs but doesn't make any pressure... so it's time to drop the fuel tank.
