Been drag racing my Trailblazer a little too much over the past few months so figured I would get me a dedicated drag vehicle.

I looked at several converted 10s but just couldn't find one I was happy with for the price I wanted to pay, so I figured I would just build one. I know it will be a little more money but I can do it my way.

I picked up a fairly clean, 100% rust free, '85 s15 (dime.5) extended cab. I know I will give a little weight back for the cab but I wanted to be comfortable.

I have the front end off, engine and trans out and will be pulling the cab and bed tonight. Paint will meet the frame this weekend and assembly will start next week.

We are still trying to decide on drivetrain though it has been mentioned since the paint is going to match the SS so should the powerplant. That would put us using a LS2 with Magnacharger, I am just not sure I want to sink THAT kind of money into it. A 383 may be a better choice.

I will keep this thread updated with pictures.

It would be least expensive as well. The wife really wants it to sound like the trailblazer (supercharger whine). Of course I don't think she really realizes the costs involved.
