headers are real nice. I have a set on my s10 v8 (5.3L). had them powdercoated because they come just steel finish. Not polished. You can buy the chrome/polished ones if you want them...
its great to see new products coming out but why the small tubes?? Most aftermarket heads will have a bigger exhaust valve than the header tube..

1. Find a 2.00" header that will fit in a V8 engine bay at an affordable cost.
2. You cannot build an N/A V8 S10 that will need 2" primaries. 1-1/2" is plenty.

how about 1 5/8" 1 3/4" 1 7/8". Who said anything about naturally aspirated? ALOT of LS motors are sprayed pretty good. i find it hard to believe that an engine with a 15 degree head, 2.12 an bigger intake valve, 1.575 and bigger exhaust valve isnt somewhat choked by a 1.5" header. Are the LS headers offered with a larger tube?

There aren't many S10's into the 8's and 9's. Sure there are a handful, most aren't though. I bring up the 8's and 9's because those exact shorty headers have supported a few LSx motors sprayed and boosted north of 700rwhp. How many of us can actually say we own or have the need for anything over a 400rwhp V8 in an S-truck, much less a 700rwhp S-truck? Have you ever been in a 3000lb S-truck with 400rwhp? It's breath taking, and you really learn throttle management quick otherwise you end up in the ditch.
Also, most of us common folk are not going to bother with anything larger than a 2.00" intake, 1.55" exhaust with mildly ported and reworked stock heads. They flow plenty, in fact, more than what your typical 408ci will even need. Stick a set of worked over 243 or 799 heads onto a stock 6.0L and it'll sing you Dixie all day pushing 400rwhp through those "restrictive" 1.5" shorty headers. Add a 200 shot of giggle gas to that mix and you'll have one hell of an S-truck with traction problems.
There is now a company making 1-7/8" long tube headers for the 2wd LSx swap. The gains over those shorty headers did not impress me for the price hike, but to each their own. They just look pretty. If the shorty headers start to choke down your build, add more nitrous or boost.

For those of us that don't have the traction problems and who know what it feels like to runs some 9s in the 1/4.........Does anybody make a set of large tube headers for a LS motor?
These are nice and all, not throwing off on them. But does anybody know of any that are larger? I've got 2" on my 23 deg. motor now. And they are more than enough. But you always plan for the future.
Sorry, I missed the last part of your post. I see someone makes a 1 7/8" long tube. That's more like it. Maybe I should contact Stahl.

They look like a nice set of headers. I thought Schoenfeld made headers that will fit the application. However I can only find them for the full size truck. Space

Just from hearing everyone else moan about it......
I going to say that (at this time) nobody makes anything larger that the 1-1/2" LSx headers for the S-10 at a reasonable price.

Im not most, i dont build for average horsepower. i try not to build 9 second rides either. Im not sure how much horsepower my junk actually makes so i ran an online calculator based on weight, ET, and mph and this is what it said.
"Your HP computed from your vehicle ET is 998.42 flywheel HP and 898.578 rear wheel HP."
So i guess i have 2 400rwhp trucks in one! heh. So im one of the ones that say i own a truck with over 400rwhp and i have a need for something with more.
Thanks for the answer scotty. i guess thats a swap i would have to build headers for..ugh. Think ill stick with tried and true 18 degree junk.

Whoa! Like magic! We just wish for something..... and Mike comes up with it!
That'll make the LS swap a lot more attractive to some guys, Mike. Nice.

They have been in development for awhile now, we like to get it right before we get them out there, unlike some people who buy a box of bends and want to charge you $700+ for you to test them out.
