So my blazer has been out of commission since this past november. I had the engine built and ready to go in december, but the engine is still in my basement and the blazer is still at my buddys house. I havnt messed with it mainly because i just don't have the room up here to do it.
So tonight I get a call from an ex coworker. Middle aged lady, I've known her for about 8 years and have kept in contact continuously since we stopped working together. She needs an A/C compressor and some other odds and ends done to her car. Her boyfriend just picked up a 90 honda accord for $200. MINT CONDITION. Needs basic tune up stuff and a belt. Less than 20K on it.
So i take a ride over there to check out both the cars. Her boyfriend works for the township. Used to be a mechanic but he had an operation on his right hand and has lost most of the mobility in that hand. A mechanic with one good hand isnt much good in a shop so me moved all his tools home. Anyway - I get over there. He has a 7 car garage, compressor, welders, full compliment of tools, jacks, etc. Basically a whole shop with 2 cars in it. He offered to let me both work on and store the blazer in there free of charge for fixing the cars they have. Step in shit - Smell like a rose.
