I have seen several people install late 90's cavalier seats into an s-10. I just picked up a set and was wondering if anyone has any pics on how the installed them??? Mine don't sit to well, I know I will have to do some mod work, so looking for a direction.

i installed pontiac grand am seats in my s10. what are your original seats? bucket or bench???? mine were buckets cause im in a blazer, so basically all i had to do was take the sliders off my original seats and put them on the gran am seats. just do a slider swap. if your original seat is a bench seat then u hafta get a set of s10 sliders, or just make new bolt holes in your floor boards and use spacers.

I did exactly the same swap, with the same seats, but in a P/U. Was pretty easy. The new seats sit slightly higher than the old S10 seats, but not a big deal to me. If you have a bench seat right now, try getting a set of old seats, and use the tracks from it.

I did the same swap in a S10 pickup I used to have. The truck had a bench, and I went to seats from a Cavalier . . . I think. One of those small cars anyway. I ended up drilling new holes and making spacers from lengths of 1/2" copper pipe that I had left over from a plumbing job. It's easy to cut, and with a washer on either end it's strong enough to more than do the job.
