Can anybody tell me what does a 6.60 1/8th mile convert to in 1/4 mile? It was 106 mph and 1.51 60 ft. Just wondering, my buddy said he's faster thru the 1/8th than me, I think he's smoking cat terds! He will not show me his ticket but I know he ran 10.91 in the 1/4 and I think I've got him beat. He says no, I'm just in his way. I go 6.60s with a rich tune up, and haven't been able to try the new leaner tune up. I think we need to line em up and see. Thing is I'm gonna be turning too hard in the 1/4 especially on spray. And he don't want to run me 1/8th mile only. I told him I can go a 10.91 lifting......LOL....but maybe not. I still think I'm faster thru the 1/8th than he is.

If he is faster through the 1/8th and only running a 10.91 there seems to be a problem somewhere. Seems to me he'd be in the 6.90's. Apparently he's not being honest anyways if he won't back it with a time slip, right?

I think the general conversion is 1.56. It'll get ya a ballpark # 6.60x1.56 is 10.296. As for your buddy runnin 10.91.....My ventura runs 7.0's 'bout 100 mph. My best 1/4 time was 10.89

I am going by what my truck weighs which is 3350 with me in it. I have you around 710HP@ the fly, 1/8 @ 6.58@104.9 and ¼ @ 10.27@131.1. Come to Bristol on August 30 and find out, you can stay at the house. :)

I think my buddy is full of crap. He knows I will run out of gear before I get thru the 1/4 mile and I think he just wants to show people he is faster than me. So he wants to run 1/4 instead. That way it looks like he really is faster. Maybe I'll sneak around and do a gear change and put it on him anyway. I'm running a PG with 4.56 gears and 28" tire so I hit the rev limiter at 6800 before I get thru the trap. And that was on motor. My motor don't like more than 6200 rpms anyway. Even on spray the motor wants to pull in the same rpm range. Allot of people are guilty of wanting to turn there motors too hard just because they've got a little juice on them.

OH-YO, I'm a little lighter than that. So maybe a little less power than 710hp. But I'd say you are pretty good with your calculations. Because even though I'm lighter than 3350, not by much. I'm guessing right about 3150 with me. I'm 255, so truck is probably about 2900. Best I can tell my motor is 565hp at the flywheel and a 150 shot on top of that. But my n2o set up was pretty rich. So I can probably get some more numbers out of it.

Thanks guys.

I agree with OH_YO on the times but what you will have to do is bump your tire up to a 30in and that should put you through the traps at about 6500 at 128. Those are the exact numbers I am looking at trying to accomplish next spring at Super Chevy in VA. Right now I am also running a 28in tires and know I will also run out of motor and I try to keep mine at 6200/6300 max also. And that has me in the 7.30 on motor only. Still have not juiced it but hopefully before the season is out.

4.56 is to much gear for the spray especially if your not wanting to turn over 6500. I run 4.10 gear and on the bigger tune ups go through the 1/8 a lil over 7k. Converter plays a lil role to.

No ... the 30th is just a street fight night, the Super Chevy is the last of September. http://www.bristoldragway.com/events/super_chevy_show/ Fun Ford was this weekend, they are letting anything run this year at Fun Ford. My buddy has a 260z that has a 421 sbc that runs 9.40's . He was running the true street and they kicked him out for not haveing a Parachute. He had went through tech and made the 20 mile cruise and three passes and was on his way to winning it and the guy over Fun Ford come to him and kicked him out...with no refund, guess they want Fords to win it all. LOL
