ok i got a 94 4wd s10 with the 4.3 vortec in it right now with the 4l60e trans in it. but i am sick of having no power so im gonna drop a sbc 350 in it. what mods do i have to do since im going from fuel injected to carburated? and can u still use the same trans? please help me out

I'm sure there are others with more knowledge on the 4l60E being usable with a Carb engine, so I won't touch that part, but in general to get the motor in and running all you need is a fuel pressure regulator if you plan to use the stock in-tank pump. If you plan to use a mechanical, block mounted fuel pump, simply unplug the fuel pump(stock) relay on the drive side fender-well.

You will want to keep the Water Temp. and Oil Press. senders from your 4.3...to install into your new V-8, so your stock gauges will keep working. Also, from what I have read here, you should keep all your accessories from the front of the 4.3, as they should bolt right up to your (69-95?) V-8 engine (alternator, power steering, AC, water pump, and mounting brackets, etc.)
