Got the itch

I sold my s10 several months ago, shortly after finding out i'm going to be a first time daddy. It was the first vehicle I had ever built myself. When selling it, I swore to myself that i'd have another s10. Well here I am 1 month away from meeting my son, and already have the opporitunity to buy another truck. It's a 98, standard s10 with a blown engine. Could get it for next to nothing. I didnt really have to sell my truck to begin with but thought it would be a wise move just to pay off a few "stupid" bills. Now I could buy it, and let it sit for a while, taking the chance of it rusting away as I no longer have garage access. Or just pass it up, and wait a few more years. But damnit, I've got the itch bad. LOL.

buy it, get a tarp, and start planning. Only live once, and everyone needs a hobby, keeps you out of trouble. Well till you get it running ;)

I agree. If you can afford it and you got a deal in it, then get it and cover it up. It will be okay and sooner or later you can start working alittle bit with it. If you dont you will kick yourself down the road.

If you got the itch there is cream for it. Sorry. I made a funny. Anways Here is the way I see it. You sold your 1st one on a 'do the right thing' guilt trip. Know you regret it it. Well. I must say...BEEN THERE DONE THAT!!! Don't let it get you down. If you have the cash then buy it. let it sit, until you can get to it. If you can't get to it, then you can always sell it. I was in the same situation with my trans am. Had a 71 455 that I sold dirt cheap then 4 months later bought my 70 ram air. I let it sit for 3 years before I even started the engine for the 1st time!!! Things will work out. Even if in an odd manor.

Yeah, I've been doing alot of thinking. I think I will get it, talked to a few people, and a buddy is going to let me keep it in his shop. Just cover it and let it sit. It's going to take me a while to get this one the way I want it. The last one I put together as cheap as I could, just to get it running. Very mild engine. This time i'm going to build it the exact way I want it. Plus again I will have a little helper if he's up for it. So yeah, looks like i'll be the owner of another s-10! haha
