Ok guys I want to replace my seats in my '85 P/u. What are my options? I have buckets & that is what I want to put back in. Not looking for racing seats, but some good looking seats most likely in Black . Where can I find brand new upholstered seats ready to install? or what newer model vehicle seats would work with my sliders?
any help greatly appreciated..
it really depends on what look you want and comfort level cost factor you can make almost anything fit. Corbeu makes seveal different levels on there seats. If i had the cash thats what id do. Other than that im putting in some 1st gen eclipse seats

well, thats sorta my problem..I dont know what i want...lol I really had in mind some bucket seats that I could get done in the roll & pleated look possibly in 2 colors..I like those Corbeau seats, but thats a little more all drag /race look than I really wanted..I was told the seats I have now are Camaro buckets..They are ok, but to have them re-done & re-padded will cost as much as brand new seats..
I guess I was hoping that some of you guys would offer up pics of what you have done to help me get a better idea of where to start looking ..
I am gonning for that show & go look not all drag
It depends on which Cobeau seats you go with. They look good IMO

I took my seats out of a 79 wagoneer made my own brackets thy don't have headrests and when mounted the top of the seat comes to just below the back window. They need to be redone but I found a place that will do it for 150 a seat for black leather.

I had 90 cavalier seats for a while. I think they are in my old pics. They sorta bolt in, with some spacers under 3 mounts. I really like the looks of the Summit sport seat, a little racy, (cutouts for harness) but I understand they are pretty comfy.

I just got Bucket Seats out of a 90's Suzuki Esteem Wagon, real comfortable, and very near new looking.
They even smell good :icon_lol:
I will have to fabricate brackets to install them, but I needed to do some work to the stock mounts anyway, I have cracks in the sheetmetal around the front left drivers seat floor stud.
I got 2 buckets, a headliner(very nice condition), (4) sunvisors(2 regular, and 2 secondary), and a MINT glove box door for $90.00 at one of my local bone yards. Saved nearly $600.00 from what it would have cost to buy Summit Sport seats and other stuff from LMC.

I need to get my butt down to the local bone yard myself...

You could always go with 2nd gen S-10 buckets in your truck. I've got heated power leather buckets from a '98 Blazer in my S-10 and love 'em.

Once you get them in, post a pic.
I had a set of 024 seats in one of the 10's I had bought. Nice comfy seats buts installed improperly. They rocked like humpty dumpty before he had his great fall.
