If you look close, you'll notice that only one rear tire is bald, but it's supposed to be a posi, and it has no CATS....I think this is one of those "too good to be true" deals...just my opinion.

There are production v8 colorados, we have a few right now but all are 4wd. Perhaps in the future there will be a ss or xtreme version.

I have looked on the net to see what truth there is. I found out that there are 2 concept V8 Colorados SS made with the 6.0 motor. The actual production has been held back until early next year to have the 5.3 liter. If this auction was an actual true concept truck, It would be a very rare catch.
Looks like the original concept was an extended cab Colorado. Check the link.

both trucks are awesome
it still stumps me why they didnt drop a lt1 in the 94-98 ss s10s i know id love it in mine that 4.3 even starts to hint at going bad and im dropping the lt1 in it.
i have to say though i would rather buy the 2010 camaro than a colarado with a ls1 in it
has anyone on the site done a colarado canyon swap?
id rather see the new LS9 in one have you guys seen it ? aw yeah

Yes they're out there. Looks like you can get a 2wd Colorado 5.3 V8 but gotta be extended cab or bigger. But, most likely they'll only come in the biggest tanks, 4wd crew cabs, etc.
And as for the truck in question being a "Concept" truck, somehow I didn't really interpret the ad as claiming that. (although it was stated)
* What he did say was: "Bought new in Dec. 07 as a STANDARD LS package and only has 3200 actual miles"
* And the fact that the motor was "built" would lead me to believe that it wasn't in there originally.

I would agree, he doesn't say it was GM concept, just his. It's the best looking Colorado I have seen. I have not seen craftmanship like that for a while. I can't knock it, it's beautiful.

i got a little upset when heard the 5.3s were only in the 4x4 and crew cabs. id love to see them put one in a 2wd single cab, maybe a 6 speed..oh yeah, lol:naughty:

Exactly. My ideal truck would be a 5.3, std. cab 2wd with 4l60e.
But they DO offer them in 2wd, but must be an extended cab or crew cab. At least thats what the online GM "build your own" page says.

The truck is better than perfect, its the real deal for sure.... I took a short ride around the parking lot at the lsx shootout......Its supposed to have a 12 bolt going in if not in it already.... It was built by him not a concept truck....

I completely agree with you on that. Plus they are ugly IMO. But having a V8 now will make me like them, but only for that reason.

This guy builds top notch ls conversions, So you are telling me you never play with your toys? Also 3k on the body.... It's perfect....... He just put the 12 bolt in as I stated so it does not mean a thing to have one bald tire...... it's perfect and your silly....
I mean come on, beats the piss out of it...Yeah I build my ls1 powered s-10 to drive sane and get great fuel economy and never ever beat on........................Wrong

Heh Heh.... I'll second that. I see that bald tire as a "badge of honor". :headbang: Maybe I feel that way 'cause I beat the snot of my little truck.... but hey, that's what I built it for, right?
But I will say that the Colorado is almost too pretty to beat & abuse....... almost. :icon_lol:

Original 3200 miles on the BODY don't mean squat if the drive train is tore up.
And YES, I am SILLY for having an OPINION! bite me.
Lastly, I don't care who built what, I never attacked the builder or anyone else, I said that it was MY OPINION, that YOUR STATEMENT that the truck was "Better than Perfect" was incorrect, and that a truck with a bald tire was FARRRRR from better than PERFECT.
Perfect means just that. PERFECT. That BALD tire would not pass inspection, and to get that way (a single bald tire) then the POSI rear end is not working properly, or the owner slapped a set of shitty tires on it to sell it. EITHER WAY, IT IS NOT PERFECT ...IN MY OPINION....
Please, don't be so defensive of someone elses work...or lack there of. I mean really, how hard is it to slap together a bunch of brand new parts, that practically fall together on their own? If I had an extra $50,000.00 layin around, I could too. It is NOT impressive to see a new vehicle have a bunch of money thrown at it just for the sake of building something to go out and thrash. Your comments and thoughts, that I am "silly" for thinking that doing burnouts, smoking off the tires, and generally beating the piss out of it; is even less impressive than that, have been noted.
As for "playing with my toys", YES, I do play with my toys, but I don't go out and beat the hell out of them so that they fall apart, break down, or generally look like I'm careless about my investments. Like I said, someone with MONEY to BURN does not impress me. I work damn hard to be able to afford to build the toys that I build, and I take great pride in the quality of MY work. I have no need to try to impress anyone with the amount of money I can spend on a bunch of "off the shelf" parts.
Have a nice day!

Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Smile no harm ment, but this was to funny not to share!
