1998 2.2/305 swap

i got a 1998 S10 Extended Cab with a 2.2L. I found a potential project. Its a 305 out of a late 80's early 90's truck. It turns over and comes with manifolds, throttle body and wiring. I can get it for 50 bucks. What do you tihnk would it make a good project? the truck is a little beat up but is a fun driver and i want to drop a v8 in it. what do all of you think

the price is right if the new(old) engine is in good running condition.
