Nv3500 Transmission

I have a NV3500 transmission for sale missing shifter tower as of now(guy still owes me it, haven't tracked him down yet) Willing to let it go for $400. This is a good 5 speed transmission for the swap from what the articles I've read on here say. I lost my s-10 so no longer need it. If you need anymore info feel free to ask.

Frist, I don't want to buy it.. but you can help me with a question if you'd be so kind.


I need the distance form the bellhousing face where it meets the motor to the aprox center of the shifter.

If it dosent have the bellhouseing, then mesure the distance from the front of the trans case to the center of the shifter.


What I am trying to do is order my TKO 600 w/ the right shifter placement. Knowing the setback on the nv3500 will put me in the ballpark.

I could go out later and measure an NV shifter for you, but the stock handle is around 15-18 inches long and angles way back. If you try and use a handle that long on a TKO it will have too much forwad and back movement. The last TKO I installed had a 6 inch handle, and had longer throws than the 4 speed it replaced, with Hurst linkage, and a longer handle.

would you plaes mesure it for me.. I can't find specs on the 3500 . The TKO has 18 different mounting locations for the stick.. but the basic center locations are 7inch 12 inch and 19 inch,, with + or - 2 inch each... so its nice.. but they charge to change the location after you purchace it.. so getting it right the frist time is important...

the nv 3500 is a 5 speed but will that work with pretty much any small block also how much power are theses trannys capable of handling im looking towards around 450hp carbed smallblock

heij , is that transmission also for the jeep grand cherokee 1998 5.9L?? ii am from austria and i search a manual transmission for this jeep cause my automatic transmission do not hold ..
