ok so i just go a 350 and im trying to figure out what the specs ar on it like year and other crap. the right and left side of the block say 638. if im looking at the rear main bearing the left side of the block on the bell housing part says Gm 5.7LG (s or 5)GI. then on the right side it says 14093638. if anyone can give me a site that will tell me a bout he block that would be great. then the heads they say GM 36 inside. and the bolts to the covers are in the center of the valve cover not the flange area. thanks guys

double that nastyz28 has been very helpful for me in the past.
thinking out loud here it must be earliy 90s or newer since the vavle cover bolts are center some early ones regular carb in take will work ,,newer require newwer vortec style intake

ok with the numbers i have found i got a engine that was made between 86-94 or a engine that was put in a 1975 vette m/t 4 sd jl48. so imma think its fromm 86-94 cause the guy i bought it from said he pulled it from a suburban.
