well when it comes the fuelie heads theres not a lot of accessory backets out there.I have some on my 283 thats in my s10. I didnt ue the 4.3 stuff cause theres no support up top cause of the NO BOLT HOLE. So I use did a V-belt with a short water pump. Auto zone sells all the stuff you need if you have to .

Or, made my own bracket 11 years ago..... old iron heads, no accessory holes, AND, short water pump back then. No other options at the time.

I made my own too, all it took was a jig saw, some elbow greese, and a little imagination. Scotty nice work man looks good!

i ran a long water pump just put a through bolt on the alt and it held just fine and didn't use the front bolt on the power steering pump and everything held just fine for me but used nylock nuts so they wouldn't back off

I made a set of brackets for mine. Used the oe bracket that bolts to the exhaust manifold and the lift hoop bracket on the intake. Took a flat piece of steel drilled some holes in it to bolt to the OE brackets. Put the single bolt in the water pump , put a belt on snuged it up. Marked in the spot for the pivot on the PS pump bracket, drilled and tapped a hole and Done.

As for the Alt. I made a H braket from 2 old alt lower brakets.bolted on in oe spot and bolted the other to the water pump bolts. Took a flat piece and weled it between the two and done. Works great.

I will try and get a pic for you.

Thanks, and as Bakas said, jig saw, minimal tools. An assortment of files is a big help . Amazing what you can do with files.

Regarding cutting, shaping or dressing metal parts, especially aluminum, a lot of guys I know refuse to use any tool unless it has a motor.:nono:
But in many instances, the hand-held file beats Dremels and sanders hands-down for ease, speed, and quality of finish.:soapbox: :icon_wink:
