I bought this 92 Jimmy as it sits for $2500, so far I've added HID's, painted the stock wheels, and bought new tires for them 275/60r15 in the rear and 255/60r15 up front.

Here's the engine that's going in this spring, it's a 355 with 2.02 valve iron heads, Edelbrock performer RPM intake and a 670 street avenger Holley.

Here's a shot of the wheels (the ones on the Camaro) that are going on there in the spring, the tires are 315/35r17 rears and 275/40r17 up front. That pic was with my TBSS that got repoed and my 71 Camaro thats going to get repoed too :icon_mad:

Thanks for the nice comments everybody. Last summer I had the Camaro on a dyno and it made 206 hp and 347 ft lbs of torque to the rear wheels. The guy who owned the Jimmy before me worked at a body shop, so its got a new paint job. I've really been doing my homework on this site as far as getting all the parts I need together for next spring.

Thanks everybody. Yeah I'd rather keep the Camaro too, but I'm still excited to get this motor in the Jimmy. It has the 4.3 in it now which is gutless coming from a Trailblazer SS with the 6.0 LS2, I think the Jimmy should be faster than the TBSS being it weighed over 5000 lbs.

:D Ordered some parts today, got the angle plug Sanderson coated headers, and the conversion mounts from the site, last week I picked up my Taraus SHO fans from the junk yard. I'll be making a big order from Jegs in about a month, then I'm just waiting for some descent weather to do the swap.

what paint did you use on those rims and what did you do to prep them

I used the spray paint made for wheels that you can get at any auto parts store, I still have to polish the wheels and put some clear on. I used some 220 grit sand paper and a green scuff pad to get some bite for the paint, then just cleaned them with acetone and painted.

Here's a small update, I have to finish polishing my intake ( more work than I thought it would be), and order a few more things from Jegs, but I can say it's getting closer to drop the V8 in. I moved the battery to the rear using the plastic Moroso box, I dont have any pics of that yet. I finally got some wheel spacers to put the Vette wheels on.
I still need to lower it a bit.

Heck yeah its got to be Chevy orange, lol. I got the 4.3 pulled today and got my cuts planned out for the radiator. I should have the engine and headers installed tommorrow, should is the key word, it's tough working 3rd shift sometimes. Im hoping to be done by next week sometime. I'll have more pics as it goes along.

I got the engine installed in the forward position, I need to modify my heater box a little and try to move the engine/trans back at least an 1/8" to 1/4" as the oil pan sump is touching the cross member, I hope that goes easy.
