Well, my daily driver is a '93 Blazer 4X4 with digital dash. Needless to say, the digital part has gone stupid. First no speedo, but everything else worked. Now, speedo works, but nothing else. Can't see gas gauge. I'm too old to be walking to go get gas.lol! So, will a standard instrument panel swap right out?I've had it out before,so I know there's just the speedo cable & the main plug in. Gotta fix this stupid thing! Thanks!

Can't see why the 93-94 blazer 110mph clusters woun't work. The same info is just passed to a different set of gauges. The bravada will also work. Same thing.

So a 85 non digital dash should inter change with a 110 one? And what years did they come in. Sorry to take away from your question but i was just wondering the same thing.

WAIT !!!! lol the digital dash actually work with another ecm or brain. if you have a speedo cable then that will work fine. but the other gauges might not. as cheap as the clusters are it wouldnt hurt to buy and try but i really dont think its going to work for you. to swap from a regular cluster to a digital there are alot of things that need to be changed. so the same would need to be done in reverse to make it work.

Your digital dash has a speedo cable? I have an 89 and its just one big plug. I had alot of problems with my digital dash and was always wondering the same thing. Every time I pulled a standard dash at the junkyard there was a speedo cable though.

before you plug in a insterment cluster better make sure it is wired the same. could fry some wires or pcm. vss single fuel single for evap system and possably volts go threw there. the have resisters built into the gages and if not the same??? what does the boneyard interchange say?

Being this is my daily driver, I'm not changing anything on this one like I am on my S-10.As far as the speedo cable, I could be wrong. Maybe I'm thinking of the S-10. ???????LOL Well, next week I'll go to u-pull-it & see what's what. Thanks for all the info. Old people need all the help they can get.lol Once I find out what's what I'll let ya'll know for future reference.

The other thing that could be done is to pull the wiring schematics for the years you are dealing with. Since you have a 93, chech the diagrams for digital dash or regular if any different drawing was done. I think GM wired them the same with the exception the digital dash should have extra wiring for the back light. The 110 speedo started in 92 I think.
when i got my 10 it didn't have any gagues at all(or radio or interior lights etc.cheapie.me and the kid,in our infinite wisdom tried to plug in a cluster WITH gagues. it didn't know weather to crap or go blind.power back fed through the cluster and i couldn't shut the truck off.it took us a week with wiring diagrams from the all data, and changing sensors to get it to work.like hatfieldschevy said find out what the hollinder manuel says,or just put the same kind back in

what you have is the same from 91-94 but it has to be from an automatic,if that's what you have.the analog dash is only one diget off in the GM part #.??? maybe that'll work, but its only the same 91-93.GM list on it new is almost $1000.00!!!!!oowwwch. good luck.hope ya catch someone nappin and get a cheap one!

digital speedo runs off of speed sensor in tranny. There is a reluctor ring on output shaft instead of gear for cable speedo. Also plug in back of gauge panal will not swap. Digital has one 34 pin, analog gauges use two 18 pin. But on analog gauges with electric speedo pin #14 (of 18 pin connector) is for speedo, this wire is light blue with a black tracer,it runs to speed buffer (drac) modual.(this is pin A-11 on 34 pin digital plug) Look close at plugs, each pin is numberd. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Now we are getting somewhere. I would have to say the plugs would have to be changed to sway over to the regular cluster and the rewire them. Sounds like too much fun.

why don't you fix the one you got. sounds like it is a lot of trouble making other things fit.if you want great looks and digital format dakota digital sells a made for s10 inst. cluster pretty reasonable and real sharp. SW has a nice gage set real cheap but you have to adept your panel go to my page and see how i did mine it is electronic but i went with the old school analog face. lot of places sell the face plates for the s10. it can be done real cheap. most after market speedos are a lot better thier programable and you can check 1/4 mi 1/8 mi times. redo with tire change ups or gear set up just by driving 1 mile marker to another then pushing a button that is the black button you see on my dash.

I think that might be the smart thing for him to do until he gets the bugs out what do you think.

Thanks again for all the info. That's why I like this site so much. I did find a guy on e-bay who sells the digital dash replacement at a reasonable price & you send your old one back to him. He even sets the odometer to match up with the old one. Still gonna go to u-pull-it just to see what I can find.

Hey BigD,
I can't say for sure, mine is an 89, but I was looking into changing over to a digital dash and the wiring harnesses were two different numbers and the sending units needed to be changed. I was going to mention about the digital dash repair service on Ebay. GL!

Bigdsr56 I purchased a dash from the seller you found on Ebay. He sells a nice product, fast shipping and he will take time to help out over the phone. My 91 s15 sat for about 5 years in my clean dry shop after I started my v/8 swap (no I am not that slow I was recovering from spinal cord surgery) dash worked perfect from 91 when purchased new until resurection .When conversion was finished only about half of instruments worked. I assumed it was in the rewiring I had done to install TBI 350 it almost ran me nuts .One call to Carl @1 860 583 0629 solved all my problems except tach reads incorrect with v/8. Carl said he could not solve this problem for me (no big deal but if anyone knows how to correct I would do it

I have an 1991 S10 and it has no speedo cable. Just a big plug on the instrument cable. I lost speedo signal to it awhile back and discovered that the trans sends a signal to a module under the right side kick panel. What it's purpose is I don't know. I learned about it when I found a cut wire from a previous radio install and I looked at the wiring diagram wondering what the hell is that gizmo?

So has anyone taking out their 85 mph dash and put in a 110 mph one?
