At first, all I wanted was 10's, after a super sweet deal on a BW 72mm turbo, stock block small chevy's had to go, and now I'm making room for an 060. over 427 to meet my new goal of a 9.90 et with a max investment of about 6k.
-She's an 87 S-15 long box, a gift from the inlaws when the 2.8 got noisey.
-I've already went through a stock 68 327 motor (w/100 shot) and the rebuilt but lazy 355 thats going to a new home.
-The truck will be street/strip, no back halving, just self-designed Cal-Trac bars with adjustable front spring eyes, and 11.5 inch goodyear gumballs.
-The total weight will be around 3ooo, I'm still drilling holes.
-I'm using an 8.8 ford diff with 35 spline axles and C-Clip eliminators.
-Turbo-400 trans with Kevlar clutches and 10 inch 3200 stall converter
-439ci BBC with 72mm turbo, 1025 BG blow-thru carb (enclosure) ported Vic-jr intake, maxed 781 Oval heads, no intercooler, just methanol injection for WOT. 65mm waste gate and 65mm Blow off valve.
-The dream....750 rwhp at 9 psi......9.90@138, 6300 max rpm w/3.73 gear

Its not that small considering its 1.04 trim on both cool and hot sides, the comp map says she'll flow just enough cfm to break 1000hp, thanks, JZ

I've completely swiss-cheesed the front rad yoke, but reinforced it below the rad, I've drilled some 1.25" holes in the doors, and I'll be moving to non-structural areas of the cab, all holes will be plugged with plastic body plugs and body adhiesive. I'm also getting rid of the entire rear box and forming my own fibreglass rear quarters, eventually hanging them on an aluminum box frame which also holds the adjustable ballast box (steel weight box on rails to slide for weight transfer adjustment). I plan on getting as much weight out the truck as possible without compromsing strength. More to follow, JZ

sounds good. should spool fast as a single with a 1.04 A/R. i do have one suggestion. ditch the BG carb idea. spend the money and check out www.csucarbs.com they build THE BEST blow through carbs on the market. and each carb is built to your specs ready to run out the box. the BG carbs are junk production line carbs that need ton of mods to work. i spent 2 months on the phine and talking to 1st hand users of different carb. and everyone goes to 1st csu or ends up with a csu. just check it out before you buy. you wont regret it.

i also agree with the 88mm but the 76mm will do 1000 and spool quick.

Here's an update, I figured I got an awesome deal on the turbo, but its better, its actually a 76mm, and on the carb, its a 4 year old BG dual pumper with billet plates, it had been set up to run on a 428 ford with an early procharger and an ENCLOSURE, which is what I'm using, actually I bought a second carb for my friends paxton supercharged 396 shorbox 78 chevy, the carbs will have to be tuned, but there setup for pressure, and both carbs cost me a little over $400, not bad since they listed for $900 each when new.

More food for thought, even though I'm running a "little 76mm turbo" I will be quite content to have "only 750rwhp" at about 8 or 9 psi......an 88mm turbo would be better, but the Borg-Warner 76 was too good for the low price, and its new, no refurb......and its a US/European product, no offshore sales....JZ
