Hey... You NEED that wife back. Who in the hell is going to drive you around to work and the parts store while you truck is down? People... think ahead here. As soon as you finish the project...then get rid of the wife.
Of course getting advice from a guy that is still single and 37 may be a bad idea. I lived with a woman for 10 years though. Maybe that counts.
Oh... the camaro motor will work fine.

I've been married 14 years. I went as far as having the papers delivered to the house and me moving out for 2 months. This was a wake up call for both of us. We made an agrement that conumication would happen no matter what it is. I worked for us.
The LT1 conversion is a good one. Just don't make it the only thing in your life. You may fide yourself alone.

My 88 Blazer has the stock rear. I added a G80 gov-loc with some good tires. Mine has no problem with the 3.42 ratio and the LT1. I am later adding a larger cam, injectors, etc, etc. Looking for 350-390rwhp. When it breaks, I will upgrade then. For a stock axle, the stock LT1 will put it to the test. It should last a while. My conversion was done to combine the stock harness with the Camaro 95 LT1 harness. Jimsperformance.com did the work. This conversion uses the stock Camaro computer with the VATS removed. If you want, you can add tach and whatever you want. Here is a hint, wire in the ALDL port. You can get a cable to connect to your computer (notebook) and make chages to the Camaro computer. This is done with a program called LT1-edit. I can change the settings for shift points on the trans, Adjust fuel and spark, Change for tire size and rear gear change, adjust idle, and control two fans from the PCM. The best way to start is with a donor and go from there. The best water pump to use for the s10 is a Caprice pump. This puts both heater hose connections on the passenger side. You should go with the corvette radiator in the forward location to make room. The stock twin fans from the donor will fit with trimming done.

My advice to you is do all the wiring yourself. Go here to get some free tuning advice http://www.lt1pcmtuning.com/ then here to buy your cable http://www.aldlcables.com/. Your 95 uses an odb2 port but odb1 compute so you could buy an odb1 cable and rewire existing port in your truck. Next download TunerPro for free and delete vats and have your truck up and running in no time, tune it later. Buy a posi unit, I went chap with a govlock and some new us gears ring and pinion 3.73 and a richmond rearend rebuild kit. You'll enjoy buying tires in pairs and going sideways at the same time. If the truck wasn't a 4.3 originally I'd probably budget in a fuel pump and radiator.

Good luck with the build. Theres many fish in the sea, keep tossing them back and you end up with none. I got 18 years in the book, not sure if make it 19 though. Like was said toys and money.
If it were me I would swap the entire harness and eveything from the cammaro into the s10.

thomasalexander if that car is yours its better than any wife.
as far as the lt1 if your wanting to keep it stock id go with the tuner program it will shave some time off at the track and boost your mpg[if that matters].
the stock rears are pretty good if your cruising or just goofin around on friday nights if you wanting to upgrade and you have the camaro rear end just have it shortened and thrown in alot of the parts on that camaro if you have everything will be easy to reuse.
if your a wire nut you could just reuse the camaro harness

Thanks every body for the advice on my project, this is my first time doing something like this and I’m learning as I go.
But before I start I want to get as much info as I can.
To begin with I would like to know if I can use the same 6 speed manual trany from the camaro?
What kind of mods do I need to do to the camaros rear end to make it fit into my truck?
The camaro is in running condition, cant I just switch everything into the truck including gauges and fuel sending unit, I would also like to use the camaros rear end is this possible
I also whanted to just switch all of the camaros wiring into the truck do you guys recomend this.
Can any body tell me what i will have to do with my Steering should i leave it stock or upgrade, can i use any of the camaros parts for this.
Once again thanxs everyone for your advice with the knowledge im gaining i will soon be able to share it with all of you, pictures will come soon.

Talk to cowkllr400ex about the 6 speed. He has one installed in his truck. The 6 speed trans will fit in the s10 with work. It would be easier if your truck was a stick to start off.
The Camaro rear in a s10, not atleast the one with a 6 speed. The newer Camaros had a trailing arm and coil springs for the rear. The 7.5 is about the same as what is already on your truck.
The steering will have to be moved if you use the donors exhaust manifolds. This site started selling a new header for the angle plug head( LT1 ). That header is a Sanderson CS11ap. The main difference with that header vs the others you see is the front tubes go up and over instead of down. If you use this header, the steering shaft will not need to be moved.
The fuel sending unit is a different height than the s10 one. The thought of taking the camaro and putting it in the truck has it's good and bad. The co,mputer and the engine harness is a yes and can be made standalone. It would be better to itergrate the exiting sensors in the truck to the camaros wiring. The fuel sending unit, the clutser in general. The fuel pump in the camaro should fit in your stock sending unit. This is the way I was meaning.
