why do people who won mustangs think they are cool?

i just wanted to share this story with everyone about what happened to me today.... so earlier tonight i was driving home from a friends house and i was driving my blazer. im just cruisin along at what i think is the speed limit, i dont have a speedo in the truck yet... anyways like i said im just cruisin along and all of a sudden i hear a horn beep several times next to me,,, i was like what the hell..its some guy in a mustang, i had no idea who it was, it looked and sounded fairly stock.....he wanted to race.... first i want to say i DO NOT street race.. i think its stupid and dangerous..save it for the track... he kept blippin the throttle to get me to race. i looked at him, he was being billy bad ass, he had his girl with him, she was pretty hot... so im like sure just once,,,, so i step on it and just leave him like he was goin backwards, no contest.. after i let out he finally caught up with me and we went again and again it was no contest. about a half mile up was my turn, after i was already turned down the street i can hear him driving by honking again! im like what an idiot! i was embarraced for him.... so again, why do people wh drive mustangs think they are cool?

I have had similar occurances with the same results. The reason for the returning for another beat down? Some people just never learn, or aren't that smart. Yea it's cool I guess since when you drive down the road 3 or 4 outta 10 cars you pass are stangs. Kinda hard to be different when the market is flooded. Not in my book.
Now if it was a Saleen top end stang thats one thing but not a normal one.
Hated to say that out loud, lol. But I respect high hp, fast, unique cars and trucks. No matter who makes em.

last stang i raced had a v6 in it it was a 78 uglymustang II he blew a head gasket while he was trying to do a burn out so that was easy. it was a kid at school id spent the day and helped him rebuild the 2 barrel got it tuned and he thought he was god

Yeah, it's not necessarily the Mustang, just the idiot behind the wheel. Like Ray said, they drive all sorts of vehicles, including ricers.

It's been my experience that when you beat someone of that mindset........ they WILL beat you........ one way or another, and that's when it's time to let them go. I usually will race until I feel the speed is getting too crazy for the circumstances, and the idiot can see my brake lights. My brake lights say the race is over, regarless of what HE thinks.

Point is, these guys will do really stupid & dangerous shit just so they can say that THEY won......... including overrunning traffic, taking turns that could kill them and others, etc.

There is this guy that I know with a 88 5.0 5 speed ....nice car but everyone around here has one. same old song and dance I will beet that s10 he said. I said what this little truck? Its just a baby motor [283] th350 stock rear. he said so lets go... Im no pussy so we raced got him by 2 cars. then it started I missed a shift lets go again I said no and left it at that. every time I see him I tell him you got beet by a motor that 44 yr old what a piece you have... ok its not stock but he dont know that lol

I think you should have given him the finger. If you think it is bad in an S-10 try driving a street rod. When I drive my 32' I have to put up with every freaking redneck in their pickup, every mustang, and every ricer that wants to race. I can't cruise without some idiot constantly driving beside me in first gear, bouncing it up and down trying to race. Sometimes I want to just pull in and ask who has the fastest junk so I can smoke the idiot so the rest leave me alone. There's no fenders, no hood, any idiot can see it is a big block in a very light vehicle, but they all think they have a chance.

i work with a guy that has a supercharged stang he thinks he is the cats meow. he burns rubber everytime he sees me when i am in my doodoo ranger, blips the throttle the whole nine yards. but when i am in the s10 he is no where to be found he will wait till i leave then he will leave i caint stand mustangs or rice burners the cars make them that way
