Looks good Bakas. I have one on my truck that has rails down each side and 2 cross bars. Fits tight right now in the winter. Back at the end of summer when I got the truck it seemed a little loose, from the heat making it stretch.
You can hide a lot of goodies in there now.

installed it myself, took a day and a half. Harley I got it off e-bay for $50 inclding the shipping price, it was a sweet deal. Believe it or not its a velcro tonneau cover (no frame) but I still have to make bows out of some 3/16" alum flat bar, so the snow won't cave it in.

Mine has rails and the snaps are square nylon. I can't tell from the pics. How does it attach.
$50 is a screaming deal! Great find!

yep thats exactly what I did, just a 2" wide piece of velcro to cover up the slit. I just hope it holds up when im doing 130 down the track lol

The velcro is sewn on the inside of each part of my slits. And then they just velcro back together. You shouldn't have any problem. Mine doesn't come off at 121 mph.

I'd like to fab one up out of aluminum and install a wing. I searched a bunch of posts, but can't seem to find info on it. I could use some good pics.

That was my original plan but since aluminum is $240 a sheet I passed on that idea.

Bakus, I'd like to see how the support framework is positioned, how the openings look around the roll cage down bars, and fastening/hinged for fuelcell and battery access. Next time I go to the races, I'm going to have to wander the pits for a while.

Looks great!
Definately going to be one of my next upgrades to my truck. Im wanting Something with no metal to metal contact. Velcro might be okay, but dont you have to glue it to the bed rails?

hey thanks man, the velcro is sewed to the cover, and the other side is sticky so I guess you could say its glued but it wont pull the paint off. It holds good, I just hope it stays on lol

There is an S-10 that races at my track that has an aluminum tonneau. It sits flush all the way around. I have talked to the guy several times but never asked him about the cover. I don't remember if it was 2 or 3 pieces. If he is back this spring I will try and ask him about it and get some pictures.

Thanks: It is in 3 pcs, the front 2 are actually bolted in and the back section is hinged for battery, fuel and nos access.
i made mine out of fiberglass.weighs a ton.

I was thinking of doing mine out of fiberglass but was afraid it would b heavy. So I went with all aluminum, and the complete cover weights right at 55lbs.

I'm planning to do mine similar, made out of black aluminum sheet. Probably use twist lock fasteners for the rear and a hinge.
