I don't have s10 sun visors in mine, but if they're like the rest of the GM's,they are a "non-servicable" item, which means they don't come apart.Best bet is to take the three screws out of the headliner on each visor and paint them. They used to just pull off,but not anymore.Maybe someone put an eye out with the old type.lol You're not missing anything, its just the way they are now.

hey guys, I took out the screws & took down visors with bracket attached, but I have replacement visors that need to use the existing bracket & rod.I think I am just going cut it off of there and see whats up. I dont want to spend another $40 from LMC for new brackets..

Thanks for tips

Thanks for tipsyou're replacing them anyway, right?Might as well cut them apart and see what makes them tick.maybe we'll all learn something.I never took one apart.

I took some apart one time on a camaro and I just looked at my jimmy and they are the same. There is a clip inside of the visor that keeps them from coming apart

The new ones have the exact same cardboard & hinge in them already , I just need to push rod up into them..It is way tight!!
