Just wondering what headers fits the best on a 2nd gen. body style(95), really like the looks of the sanderson big tube headers, but also for the price, the 269.99 ceramic coat headers look good also, my main concern is that i am installing a 383 SB that could use all the flow it can get, i guess the 1 1/2 tubes would be ok, just looking for a good fitting header!! This is my first post and would like to say thanks for a great site for information!!!! This site has really helped me a lot with my first S10 V8 swap, i've been restoring cars for a long time, but this little S10 sure is fun. Thanks to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!

You get what you pay for!! Your 383 will run and perform at low rpms, but will be choked with the 1 1/2" headers. If the truck is for a D/D then yes, use the smaller tubes. If you expect to rev this engine beyond 4500, forget it.

That's was i was thinking, i have built a few 383's and always used at least a 1 5/8 tube header, i've seen that sanderson does have a 1 5/8 tube header on there web sight, but they do not list it here(parts store), i was wondering if the bigger tube headers fit as good as the 1 1/2's, just want a good fit, kinda tight in there. Thanks, just upgraded to premium membership so i can keep the questions coming!!

Sandersons are the better header. The CS 11s are 1 1/2, CS 12s are 1 5/8, and the CS 13 are 1 3/4"
